Thank you for your interest in our team! We will be recruiting new members during the first few weeks of the school year. We will be hosting information sessions to go over the process of trying out, and to answer any questions you may have. You are required to go to one information session in order to try out. We would love to see you there!

Our Recruitment Process
Information Sessions.
The first week of classes, we host information sessions where you can find out all about our activity, how you can join, and where to sign up for a try out time slot. Anyone can come and you’re not obligated to try out if you decide it’s not for you! Look for us at Fordham’s club fair or follow our social media to find out when we’re hosting our next information session.
Write a Monologue.
Our try out process has two parts. The first requires you read a short case packet and write a monologue using those materials. It can be either a witness monologue or an opening statement, whichever you prefer. And don’t worry, what you choose to write and perform does not determine your role on the team.
Argue a Question.
In addition to the short prepared speech you’ll write and perform, we’ll give you a prompt with a critical thinking question for you to argue. There is no right answer, and even if there was, we aren’t looking for it. We want to hear how well you can argue something on the spot, even if you don’t think you’re right.
